Sam’s Story

With her passionate energy and engaging demeanor, Samantha Peszek has quickly established herself as a bright young star both as a sports broadcaster and motivational speaker. Currently, Samantha can be seen reporting for PAC-12 Networks and USA Gymnastics.

This past NCAA gymnastics season Samantha was an analyst, sideline reporter, and expert on Sports Report. She was an analyst for the first ever televised broadcast of Acrobatics & Tumbling as well as their national championships.

Starting gymnastics at the age of 2, Samantha has always been a sports fanatic. She also played soccer and danced, but her gymnastics continued to excel making her the youngest member of the national team at age 12.

Traveling to different countries competing for Team USA, Samantha was on the Pan American Games team that won gold and World Championship team that won gold. Samantha and her team were later inducted into the Hall of Fame for being the first ever USA gymnastics team to win World Championship team gold outside of US soil.

One of Samantha’s biggest accomplishments is making the 2008 Olympic team and wining a silver medal with her team all while continuing regular schooling, which she prides herself on.

She graduated a few years later in 2010 and accepted a full-ride scholarship to UCLA to compete on their gymnastics team.

Samantha won NCAA Championships on beam her freshman year and again her senior year as well as the All- around title to finish her very last competition ever. She won 17 All-America honors total and was on Honor Roll every quarter at UCLA

She earned the Bruin Leadership award, which inspired her to begin speaking to middle schools, Universities and businesses. She also created her own talk show at UCLA called, Bruin Banter, which helped polish her on air craft.

After moving to LA from Indianapolis where she was born and raised, Samantha maintains an athletic lifestyle. Although retired from her sport, she works out regularly and co-created The Gympire with her Olympic teammate. Creating a community of athletic individuals that reach for excellence and motivates each other starting with physical health and strength. Sending a message that an athletic mindset can empower individuals, as well as a tool that will help achieve greatness in all aspects of life.
